Crazy Clarks Cabin Caper

Just at the beginning of each new year, we all get an aching to go to Trent and Andrea's cabin up at Bear Lake. So.........March 6 - 9 was our chosen weekend this year, because of spring break at USU. We usually get caught in a winter storm or two, and this year was no exception. We woke up the second morning to 8 inches of new snow!

However, the trip did become a crazy Clark caper when the 'grown-up' Clark children decide to go out and play in the lake. LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS!!!!!!

Brandi and Landon joined us Sunday evening.

It was great to spend time with them.

Chris, Susie, Landon, Brandi and Cam dragged the paddle boat out to the water's edge, and Cam and Chris waded out into the water with bare feet!

Beckah could only tolerate the cold for a few minutes. She and Grandma Clark cuddled in the cabin.

January 29, 2009 - Happy 1st Birthday, Beckah!

Beckah enjoyed her first birthday party with all of her family......who love her so much.

Our bishop says he loves to watch as Beckah receives sooooooooo much love from all of the Clarks and Hildebrandts. She is one lucky and loved girl!

We enjoy spending New Years Eve with Grandma Bjorkman whenever she will have us. Delicious food, good company, games ..... and hours until the countdown!

This year we stuck it out clear into January 1st!

Christmas Day is Here!

We love Christmas morning. Lots of fun surprises! Jared, Candace and the boys joined us in time to call Derek. Although the phone call did not go through until the next day. When we dialed his number over and over, all we got was a Portuguese phone message that we could not understand. Stan phoned the mission President the next morning, and we were allowed to call Derek. Derek and his comp had not been at their apartment for Christmas Day, and their cell phone had run out of charge with no way to recharge it. So, it was great to talk to him the next day!

2008 Christmas Fun Begins!

We have the most awesome friends in the whole world. Teresa went to high school with Marvin Hull. He has done a Christmas party for their school group for over 25 years.
It began with just the school group, but as our families grew, he continued to include his friends and all of their children. The group is now over 100 people! He always themes the parties, and we have a wonderful time every year. We love and appreciate him and his family for their selfless love!

DECEMBER 13 - 3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LIGHT PARADE

The city youth council started this tradition. Each year it gets bigger. The parade begins at the natatorium and goes to the armory, where the children can greet Santa Claus and get a surprise from him. They serve hot cocoa and there is a wonderful fireworks display.

Cameron receives the Eagle Scout Award

Cameron received the Eagle Scout Award on November 25, 2008.
Steve Butler conducted the ceremony.

Grandpa and Grandma Keller and Grandma Bjorkman were all there to support Cameron.

Cameron's Eagle project was working with his mom on the new Children's Room at the Garland Public Library. He and other scouts donated over 130 hours to help with emptying out the basement of the library, removing old carpets, painting walls, and moving shelving and books. The project was a big success, and because his mother is the library director, we can share with you that over 3,000 community members enjoyed that room in the first year it was open!
